Dear Friends of the Temple,
You are cordially invited to attend the 2025 Katina Ceremony on Saturday, October 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Kathina is a significant Buddhist festival marking the end of Vassa, the three-month rainy season retreat for monks. It is a time of generosity and gratitude, as devotees express appreciation to the monastic community. During this event, guests will have the opportunity to offer robes (Civara) and Atapirikara to the monks.
We will have robes and Atapirikara available for purchase or pre-purchase at the temple for the Kathina event. The recommended donation is $100 for an Atapirikara and $50 for a robe.
A table will be set up at the temple on Kathina day for purchasing or picking up these items. You may offer them directly to the monks during the ceremony.
To help us prepare, we kindly encourage you to pre-purchase your offerings in advance.
